E309LT1-1 Stainless Steel Flux Cored Welding Wire Made In China
Core Function: To create a high-alloy, austenitic weld deposit that can tolerate significant dilution from dissimilar or lower-alloy base metals without forming martensitic structures or cracking. It serves as a "buffer" or "transition" alloy.
Primary Applications:
Dissimilar Metal Welding (DMW):
Stainless Steel (304, 304L, 316, etc.) to Mild or Low-Alloy Steel (e.g., joining a stainless pipe to a carbon steel flange).
Joining 304L to 409 or 410 stainless (ferritic/martensitic grades).
Cladding & Overlay (Hardfacing):
Applying a corrosion-resistant stainless layer onto carbon steel rolls, vessels, or machinery parts.
Welding Higher Alloy Steels:
Repair or fabrication of 309/309S stainless steel components.
Welding 321 & 347 stainless for certain applications, though these grades ideally use Nb-stabilized fillers.
High-Temperature Service:
Components exposed to cyclic heating and cooling where oxidation resistance is critical.
Material Compatibility (Typical Base Metals):
Primary for: 304/304L/308 to Carbon Steel joints.
Also used for: 309/309S base metal, 316 to carbon steel, and for overlays on carbon steel.
