E316LT1-1 Stainless Steel Flux Cored Welding Wire Made In China
Core Function: To join molybdenum-containing austenitic stainless steels (primarily AISI 316/316L) using a high-productivity, flux-cored process that preserves the critical pitting and corrosion resistance of the base metal
Typical Applications (Where its Mo Content is Essential):
Chemical & Petrochemical Processing: Reactors, pressure vessels, piping, and heat exchangers handling corrosive media.
Marine & Offshore: Shipbuilding components, offshore platform fittings, and equipment exposed to saltwater.
Pharmaceutical & Food Processing: High-grade equipment where sanitation and resistance to aggressive cleaning agents are critical.
Pulp & Paper Industry: Equipment exposed to corrosive bleaching agents.
Pollution Control: Scrubbers and exhaust systems handling acidic condensates.
Material Compatibility (Base Metals):
Primary Match: AISI 316, 316L, 316Ti.
Also Used For: 317/317L (for standard duty), and for welding 316 to itself or to other grades.
Dissimilar Welding: Can be used for joining 316 to some carbon steels, though E309LT1-1 is often preferred as a more tolerant buffer alloy for high-dilution situations.
